Fantastic article. Many people are asking questions now like, "why didn't the mayor evacuate," or "why wasn't there a plan in place to deal with this." The article pretty clearly answers these questions, and exposes the lie beneath them. Evacuation was an impossible task, and the passion that many of us have for the city guaranteed that even some people who had the means to leave stayed.
