An amusing encounter....

So I'm watching a neighbor's house - and today I was watering some plants when this older woman approached me from across the street. I promptly introduced myself, as to avoid the whole 'Who are you? and why are you at so and so's house' conversation. Anyway I got involved in this 15 minute small-talk marathon where I learned little bits and pieces about the neighborhood - when I told her that I lived down the street - she asked me where...so I told her and her response was quite funny. She was like "Oh, you really shouldn't be renting - you should buy a house in the neighborhood - it's a great place to live and raise a family....a guy like you has got to be married and you'll certainly be wanting to start a family soon" at which point she listed off several properties in the neighborhood that were for sale.

So long story long, I responded that "I most certainly wasn't married and I definitely wasn't expecting children anytime soon" to which she responded "Oh...you'll come around".

I just found it kind of funny.
