Full Circle

As people who've known me for a while are aware - the one-year mark is a very random, arbitrary and relevant marker when it comes to my life - what I'm doing, who I'm friends with, where I want to go. It also is generally the marker of when I feel totally at home in a new place. It just so happens that today has been the culmination of a multitude of anniversaries for me.

I've been in law school for a year - and I can't wait to go back - it is absolutely fantastic.

I've met some of the most amazing people ever and all the riff raff has totally been weeded out, so from here on out I'm totally dealing with life-longers

I still want to be a lawyer - though my confidence waivers occasionally - I still want to continue in this route - it seems like the best way to effect change in our society - and that is totally what I'm all about.

And one last point - that I'm only writing so that I can read it later.......

I'm sitting here listening to some random song on a Grant mix, and the lyrics seem to consist of only "smoke 'em if you got 'em" - I'm going to guess that is the name of the song. Regardless it's perfect background music.......I was just thinking how much more fantastic things are this year as opposed to last.

Generally I consider my home to be wherever I live, because my neither of my shady parents still live where I grew up......but alas, tonight...chilling in my apartment with Slacker & Throck - just laughing about the most random things and being ridiculous - acting totally afool - I totally felt at home in Pittsburgh - it was a great feeling....which compares to only a few other random benchmark moments that I've had in previous places that I've called my home. So here's to Pittsburgh, Slacker & Throck - y'all rock!!
