Patriotism is the virtue of the viscous....

Umm, so - Congress has apparently decided to keep a lot of the autocratic, totalitarian measures of the patriot act. What the hell is going on - Bush's approval ratings suck, a bunch of Republicans are sure to be going to jail some time soon, the citizenry think that the country is heading in the wrong direction - and most importantly the population thinks that the President is unworthy of their trust. Why then are the Dems conceding on this one? The President is clearly a "lyin' kind of a guy" who is super-shady - why give him the legislative authority to be an asshole?

Democrats: STAND YOUR GROUND - Fuck the Patriot Act - it is a facist tool, to be utilized by an administration whose guiding principle seems to be lunacy.
