The Priorities of the West

What the hell are we [Western Nations] doing in this world. We're missing the point - we need to take an absolute stand on Human Rights issues and we need to do it RIGHT NOW.

This passed week Iran executed two more men, guilty of homosexuality, amongst other specious charges - how is it that we [the Western World] have allowed this to happen. It is one thing to have an academic debate over cultural relativism and cultural imperialism - but it is quite another when people are being murdered at the hand of a 'fascist' state!

That this has been allowed to occur in our 'modern' world is unforgiveable - Chirac, Blair, Bush & Merkel need to get to their god damn microphones and deplore these actions at the top of their lungs.
