I think I have a problem, I can't stop checking the news for updates on the situation along the Gulf Coast. I feel like I need to know the moment that there is any development - I want to know when everyone has been evacuated, I want to know where the displaced people are being relocated & I want to know when the pumping stations are going to be reactivated. I have this compulsion to find out the latest time estimates for repairs to the flood control system, when contracts for rebuilding the transport infrastructure will be awarded.

Maybe it's because there is absolutely nothing I can do to affect the situation, that I feel compelled to at least be psychotically informed (at least its something), though I think I'd be damn good at logistics management - but alas, no experience.
