What is the big deal about Cuba anyway - so they're a communist country - let's get over it and move on. Cuba lies 90 miles away and we pretend that it doesn't exist (unless of course we're sending people there to be tortured - Go Gitmo!), we prohibit our citizens from traveling there, we forbid diplomatic relations. This is utterly absurd, for only a quick glance at U.S. History reveals that we've been best friends with dictators far more oppressive and cruel than Castro, in fact we've installed a few of them!

So, Castro has offered to airlift 1,500 highly trained doctors to the gulf coast in order to aid in relief efforts - that was 2 days ago - we've yet to respond. Come on guys (Bush) people are suffering and an estranged political leader has offered a helping hand, let's take the olive branch - after all it's been 40 years!

And as the wise ChiChi Rodriguez once said "Nobody is so rich as to throw away a friend."
