My Favorite Justice

In response to Slacker's post about his favorite Justice, I thought I'd add my two cents.

William J. Brennan is king in my world. Though his opinions may have been a touch more long-winded than Thomas' - they certainly are grounded much more so in the legal realities of our country. Oh yeah, and Brennan isn't willing to sell out individual rights, equal protection, due process, or civil liberties the way Thomas is.

So, while Slacker goes for the easy read - I'm choosing substance and equality.
