Trials and Tribulations

Right - so I had a class today - which really annoyed me - I hate having classes on Fridays. First of all - it's Friday, secondly - it fucks with my whole schedule/routine. Although this time it was somewhat worth it, due to the fact that we had a visiting lecturer from the University of Ghent - he's a big guy in Private International Law, and it was a pretty cool lecture/intro to international intellectual property.

Afterwards, I pissed around and did nothing for an hour - then went home, where I began to attempt to logistically figure out how the fuck I'm to get my car back from Harrisburg. I think the option that I'm going to have to go with is the "Andrew wakes up before the sun, takes a shitty taxi to the train station, then takes a shitty train to Harrisburg (5 1/2 hours), then drives back to Pittsburgh (another 3 1/2 hours)" - option. Which isn't attractive to me at all - because I fucking hate getting up on week-ends before noon - I know - it sucks. But I need to get my car back sooner or later and putting off the inevitable week after week isn't going to get the job done. Plus I know Emily wants me to get it back soon, because she's totally a ride-whore (but after being w/o a car for 5 weeks, I'm beginning to understand.)

The other thing that is pissing me off is that I have an interview in Philly in a week and a half - and I totally don't want to go - it's going to eat up a bunch of my time and I really don't feel like spending a whole day traveling to and fro - simply for a 30 minute interview that will likely amount to nothing......maybe I should reschedule/cancel?

Needless to say - I'm bitchy and it's been 7 days since my last cigarette - and alas I'm ready to put two extra patches on each side of my neck!!! This is why smoking is a good thing - it's a built in stress reliever!

Another thought in this synaptic misfire of a blog post - Emily is getting another cat (kitten) - yippee hooray - now she'll have more cat hair to scrape out of her laptop keyboard. I don't care what she names it - I'm calling it Thurgood Marshall.
