Dilemma
So - what's a law student to do??????
I've got a Journal that I like - and a note topic that I'm crazy about and that I can't wait to write about - yet at the same time I've got two briefs to write in the next two weeks. Oh yeah - and those briefs, they're grade-determinative! I simply don't think that I have the time to finish this first draft of my note - and this isn't something I want to half-ass.......
So, should I be a total douche-bag and ask for an extension???? Or should I quit the journal????
Of course - I really want to continue with my topic, but at the same time I hate the thought of being that asshole who's like "can I have more time" - b/c I've never been that person......
Thoughts??????

I thought being on a journal was really important for law students. It that a big resume builder/padder? I wouldn't know, never having gone to law school. I'd see about asking for an extension.
You could always retreat into a cave, like me. It's a cold dark lonely place. I can't remember the last time I went out with y'all for drinks. e-farina's party is looking like the next likely opportunity.
But yeah, I'd ask for the extension. Grades are key, and the journal thing can probably be deferred. It goes online, right? It might only be necessary, date-wise for them to have it on a specific day if they have to send it off to a publisher for printing, so a deferral might not be a big deal.
You'll notice that I haven't done much class reading recently? Just ask Brand...
I got around a B+ on my tax mid-term, though.
Man does law school suck.
I already told yinz: just talk to the editors in charge of the note. They would rather you ask for an extension than have you not write one at all.
Stay positive amongst all the work...it will (hopefully) pay off in, like, ten years?
